In this category you will find our world famous De Witte Engel Doll Jersey knit fabric. This is a beautiful 100 % cotton fabric that can be used to make doll skin. The stretch is perfect for making Waldorf style dolls.
The quality of De Witte Engel Doll Jersey is elevated by a double-knit technique. This technique makes our Doll Jersey thicker and more durable as it has two layers of knit together instead of one. This also means that when stretched, our Jersey does not become see-through. These small but crucial steps make all the difference also for the final product – the dolls. Even minor variations in the stretch or colour can affect the proportions, durability and life-likeness of the doll. Therefore, De Witte Engel 100 % cotton double-knit is a reliable and consistent choice for crafters and doll makers in every corner of the world.
The fabric is 80 cm wide knitted in the round for and the density of the tricot is between 270 and 280 g/m²,
Tip: You can certainly process our Doll Jersey with a sewing machine. We recommend the 90/14 needle for this. Gütermann thread is suitable, of course thinner is also fine. Thicker thread we do not recommend.
