The seeds of the achiote tree dye orange-yellow tones. The achiote tree is a small tree from Mexico, Middle- and South-America. The seeds can be farmed for the dye called Bixin Orellana.
It can be used to dye wool but also for instance butter or cheese into gold to orange colours.

Annatto is de kleurstof uit de zaden van de Orleaanboom. Met deze zaden verf je oranje- en geeltinten. Je hebt ongeveer 100 gram zaden nodig om 100 gram vezels te verven.
Gedroogde orleaanzaden zijn verkrijgbaar in verpakkingen van ca. 100 gram, 500 gram of 1 kilo.
Dit product is verpakt in een composteerbare zak die in Nederland geproduceerd is.
