The Walnut is native to south-eastern Europe and Asia and can be found everywhere today. This tree bears fruits (walnuts) that are contained in a husk. In the autumn, the husk splits and falls to the ground. Now the walnuts can be harvested. And you can get to work with the husks!

De walnoot komt oorspronkelijk uit zuidoost-Europa en Azië en zie je tegenwoordig overal terug. Deze boom draagt vruchten (walnoten) die in een bolster zitten. In het najaar splijten de bolster en vallen op de grond. Nu kunnen de walnoten geoogst worden. En jij kan aan de slag met de bolsters!

De walnoot…

  • … kan wel 30 meter hoog kan worden.
  • … draagt vruchten, walnoten. Ze zijn niet alleen erg lekker , maar ook erg gezond.
  • … houdt muggen en vliegen op afstand.
  • … draagt pas na vele jaren vruchten, je geduld wordt op de proef gesteld!
